2010 Gathering – Travel & Lodging info

TRAVEL & LODGING:  Participants are solely responsible for their own travel and lodging. This information is provided for your assistance.

Air Travel – If you are traveling by air, please book your flight into BNA – Nashville International Airport.

Lodging –We recommend accommodations at The Scarritt-Bennett Center adjacent to the meeting location:

NOTE: There are hotels within walking distance of the meeting location; however, we are aware of activities related to nearby Vanderbilt University during these days.  You may find better rates searching on your own.  Hotel prices may vary according to availability and when booked.  When searching for your own reservations on line through Orbitz, Travelocity or similar sites, you can narrow your search by choosing Nashville West End or Vanderbilt.  If those are not available, try Nashville Music Row or Downtown.

Ground Transportation – Transportation to and from the airport is available by taxi-cab or shuttle.

Scarritt-Bennett Center recommends In-Shuttle Transportation which offers a round trip ($17.00) and one way ($11.00) trips to and from the airport and Scarritt-Bennett Center.  Reservations can be made by calling (615) 255-3519 or online at http://www.inshuttle.com/Pages/pgHomePage.php .

Some of you have taken the Gray Line Express (615) 275-1180 shuttle service to this area of Nashville.  Reservations for the shuttle are not necessary from the airport – simply go to the counter located in the lower level below baggage claim ($12.00) one way and ($20.00) round trip. Reservations are required for your return trip to the airport.

A cab ride is about $20-$25 one way.  Proceed to the ground transportation and queue for the taxi.

Parking Near the Meeting Location – There is limited parking for visitors available in the lot of The General Board of Discipleship, 1908 Grand Avenue in Nashville, TN (enter from 18^th Ave. S).  If you are staying at a nearby hotel, we encourage you to consider shuttle service, car pool, taxi or walking.
