Annual Gatherings

Annually, JustPeace hosts a gathering for the JustPeace network.  Co-sponsored by JustPeace, The Upper Room and the General Board of Discipleship, these Annual Gatherings serve not only to connect the JustPeace network and other resource personnel, but also provide a forum for exploration of the vision, theory and practices of JustPeace.

2002: Engage Conflict Well:  Introducing the Themes with Carol Schrock-Shenk and others

2003:  The Practice of Forgiveness with Greg Jones

2004:  The Spiritual Formation of the Peacebuilder with Ron Kraybill

2005:  The Beloved Community, Formed at the Table, a Gathering on Holy Communion, Holy Conferencing and Reframing the Talk of Schism with Jan Love and Bishop Larry Goodpaster

2006:  Engaging Conflict and The Role of Ritual with Marcia McFee

2007:  The Moral Imagination and Peacebuilding with John Paul Lederach;

2008:  Difficult Conversations:  How to Discuss What Matters Most with Doug Stone (Harvard Negotiation Project)

2009:  Trauma Healing – Preparing Churches to Receive Returning Military Personnel (in partnership with General Board of Discipleship (GBOD) and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM)

2010:  Leadership as a Mediating Presence in an Age of Anxiety with Dr. W. Craig Gilliam and Drs. Carol Cotton Winn and John Winn
