Every year the United Methodist conference and retreat center, Lake Junaluska, hosts a Peace Conference that is sponsored by various United Methodist agencies, annual conferences, and seminaries.

Being in relevant and sensitive positions in the church, 19 newly appointed and non-’graduating’ District Superintendents (DS) of the Manila Episcopal Area (MEA) underwent an orientation-seminar emphasizing conflict transformation at the UCCP Shalom Center, Ermita, Manila from 26 to 27 November 2009.

The Peace with Justice Program of the Southwest Texas conference aims to make shalom visible and active in people’s lives and communities, and to encourage the church to “strengthen its capacity to act as a public policy advocate” in local communities, the state and throughout the world.

Peace with Justice Sunday is the first Sunday after Pentecost. These worship resources were developed by the Holston Conference to help congregations celebrate Peace with Justice ministries happening in the UMC

The Mission of Peace is a yearly journey of discovery and Shalom to nations in our global community sponsored by the Northeast Jurisdictional Council on Youth Ministries of the United Methodist Church.
