Tell Your Story
As JustPeace approaches its 10-Year Anniversary (Nov 2010), we’re making a concerted effort to gather as many stories as possible. We believe that stories are crucial for developing and sustaining community. Stories of peak experiences, grace-filled moments and dreams of a preferred future build on the positive and the best in all parties and help inspire new ways of seeing and being in the world.
We will be collecting stories around the following themes:
- JustPeace – stories about the past, present and future dreams of JustPeace
- Forgiveness – stories about the struggles to forgive and be forgiven and the lessons that forgiveness teaches us along the way
- Reconciliation – stories of the restoration of broken relationships – in both individual relationships and within communities and nations
- Peacemaking – stories of bringing peace to conflict situations and engaging in proactive efforts to making one’s community and world more peaceful
- Restorative Justice - stories of individuals and communities choosing restorative approaches rather than punitive responses to tragedy and harm
- Conflict Transformation – stories of conflictual situations being transformed into peaceful outcomes
We are inviting people to share from their own stories about what gives them life and by sharing them here on our website, we hope that these stories will be a source of strength and guidance for all.
How do I tell my story?
We would love to hear your story and share it on our website! Below is a simple form that will make it easy for you to upload your story, video, or photo about one of the themes listed above. Please note that videos should be NO LONGER THAN FIVE MINUTES (subject to editing or disapproval) and stories should be NO LONGER THAN 1000 WORDS (also subject to editing).
If you’re submitting a story, you may either upload a video file in the form below or copy and paste a link to a youtube or vimeo video that’s already online.
