Faith & Leadership: When violence happens, CeaseFire workers, participants and volunteers respond by organizing rallies and vigils and providing support for the families and loved ones of violence victims, both to ensure that there is no violent retaliation and to change the group attitude so that people can begin to believe their neighborhood can change.

If we believe that God is the creator of all life, then we cannot assume that some lives have more value than others. We cannot therefore assert with honesty that God has more love for some people than for others or that God would support violence against some members of creation in order to protect others.
