What We Do
Shaping the Vision – We see our work as deeply spiritual, bringing together the theology, theory, and practice of JustPeace.
Educating Key Leaders – Continued ongoing quality training in the principles of JustPeace and best practices of engaging conflict well for bishops, district superintendents (DS), directors of connectional ministries (DCM), pastors, key adult and youth lay leaders throughout The United Methodist Church and other faith traditions.
Seminary Initiative – JustPeace is committed to educating the new generation of leadership by establishing conflict transformation deep in the life of seminaries across the country.
Network and Training Practitioners – Strategic work with practitioners – connecting, supporting and strengthening those gifted volunteers and professionals in our JustPeace network located within organizations and settings of ministry in various nations.
Intervening in Conflicts – Resolving lawsuits, complaints, church trials, and other costly disputes through coaching, mediated or facilitated conversations or other methods of alternative dispute resolution.
Developing Resources – In many ways, our most important work has been to help clarify and define the theology, theory and practice of JustPeace, of a ministry of reconciliation, and help restore the centrality of this calling to the ministry of the church
